Lori Pinkerton serves as the CEO/COO for the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas. She oversees operations of six Mercy campuses that span from Michigan to California and include Chicago, Detroit, San Francisco, Auburn, Cedar Rapids and Omaha. Her areas of responsibility include serving 650 vowed members and 350 employees in the operations of retirement care centers, convents, spiritual retreat centers and all aspects related to property management. She came to this position after serving for 26 years in healthcare administrative leadership roles in hospital and academic settings. Her area of expertise includes strategic planning, visioning and property planning, project management, business development, resource management, facilitation, collaboration, conflict resolution, and all areas of operations for a religious community and various healthcare settings. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Consumer Science from the University of Nebraska and a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota. She serves as a board member and past presenter for the Catholic Conference on Facilities Management.
